Spice up your Cinco de Mayo!
Let’s have a Fiesta!
Cinco de Mayo is the perfect occasion to throw a fiesta inspired by Mexican food, music, and colorful decorations. Although this is not based on the well known Mexican Holiday (which is known as “La Batalla de Puebla”) or the Mexican Independence Day (another Mexican celebration), this is the time of the year to get together and celebrate all the things that make Mexico a place full of color: Food, music, culture, and their people!
Cook Mexican inspired dishes like platters, snacks or dips, or even bake a sweet and tasty dessert. Food will set the tone and please the appetite of your guests with delicious flavors. Find some of these recipes to prepare for this Cinco de Mayo.
Mexican culture is well known because of their bright colorful palette. Red, white and green will be good choices to decorate your party, but take a risk, use yellow, purple, or magenta. These colors will add a nice touch to your look with colorful accessories, props, or decorations.
Dress up your look with colorful accessories. Color is the name of the game! Yellow, green, orange, purple, and magenta will brighten up the room and lift your guests into the party spirit. Try some banners, pinatas, cactus props and fun sombreros. These will be great accessories that will set the mood.
A playful prop pinata will rev your party’s atmosphere and give guests an excuse to have fun and take great photos to upload to Instagram while swatting for candies and prizes (blindfolded, obviously!).
Remember that when people aren’t drinking or laughing, they should be dancing. Set up your favorite tunes in a playlist and let yourself go.
Now you need to know a few things — to throw the perfect Cinco de Mayo fiesta, you must have: friends, pinatas, music, lots of colors, and great food. Make the José Olé Taquitos, Burritos or Chimis, the perfect meal or snacks to satisfy the hunger of your guests. You can try out some great and delicious recipes to create during this Cinco de Mayo.
Please your hunger, grab your friends, set José Olé’s playlist inspired by Mexican music and celebrate like there’s no mañana…
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
